Faith w/o works is Dead

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of all understanding -Proverbs 9:10

Man makes plans but God directs his every step- Proverbs 16:9

The Sovereignty of God includes** obeying God in every moment as HE directs us and guides us, and provides us with Godly wisdom, sometimes we may be confused and not understand how or why or when or where, but in those moments we must surrender to GOD and have enduring and persevering patience, trusting that GOD will give us wisdom for each decision along the way, OBEYING HIM in the midst of trial. God is sovereign. When times are fiery, that does NOT mean we PURPOSELY CHOOSE SIN, NO! When times are fiery we must use our freewill to strive towards holiness, as God is holy, and pray for HIS spirit where our own strength fails!
We must trust in God to slowly show us the plan HE has for us *over time, good things require time to grow ( hence patience is vital) so at moments we will not have answers to everything too far ahead in life, but we must sometimes just let God guide us day by day, even moment by moment at times and trust that He is good. Where we fail though, grace exists, Romans 8:28. God always calls the final shots on everything. Especially for His children. He is Sovereign.
Learn God’s WORD by studying the bible and praying, so that you may know how to captivate your thoughts in Christ, and recall that God is Holy 1st and then love. Things and thoughts and feelings and motives that are Holy 1st and then love are of God.

I will see the goodness of the Lord(A)

(Jude 1:1–2)1James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ,To the twelve tribes of the Dispersion:aGreetings.Rejoicing in Trials
(Philippians 1:12–20)2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you encounter trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.5Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6But he must ask in faith, without doubting, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7That man should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.9The brother in humble circumstances should exult in his high position. 10But the one who is rich should exult in his low position, because he will pass away like a flower of the field. 11For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its flower falls and its beauty is lost. So too, the rich man will fade away in the midst of his pursuits.12Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.Good and Perfect Gifts13When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone. 14But each one is tempted when by his own evil desires he is lured away and enticed. 15Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.16Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers. 17Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, with whom there is no change or shifting shadow.b 18He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we would be a kind of firstfruits of His creation.cHearing and Doing19My beloved brothers, understand this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, 20for man’s anger does not bring about the righteousness that God desires. 21Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and every expression of evil, and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save your souls.22Be doers of the word, and not hearers only. Otherwise, you are deceiving yourselves. 23For anyone who hears the word but does not carry it out is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror, 24and after observing himself goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom, and continues to do so—not being a forgetful hearer, but an effective doer—he will be blessed in what he does.26If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not bridle his tongue, he deceives his heart and his religion is worthless. 27Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world

Faith and Deeds

14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds?(U) Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food.(V) 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?(W) 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.(X)

18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”

Show me your faith without deeds,(Y) and I will show you my faith(Z) by my deeds.(AA) 19 You believe that there is one God.(AB) Good! Even the demons believe that(AC)—and shudder.

20 You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless[d]?(AD) 21 Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar?(AE) 22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together,(AF) and his faith was made complete by what he did.(AG) 23 And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,”[e](AH) and he was called God’s friend.(AI) 24 You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.

25 In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction?(AJ) 26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead
